Force Athletics is a not-for-profit organization established in 2004 for the benefit of home educated students or private school students who are interested in participating in competitive sports and/or cheerleading programs.
Who manages Force Athletics? We have a five person board that oversees the day-to-day operations of our organization. Our board is made up of five home school parents, both men and women. All members are actively involved in the home school community and their local churches. Each has demonstrated leadership skills, a servant heart, and interest and experience in various sports. Board members serve specified term lengths as established by Force Athletics bylaws.
How is Force Athletics organized? Our organization is designed with layers of accountability providing necessary checks and balances, with players accountable to coaches, coaches accountable to the five person board and all ultimately accountable to the home school families we serve.
What about financial policies and organizational procedures? Our financial records, bylaws and procedures are open to participating families in accordance with the open records laws for 501(c)3 Non Profit Organizations.
What is your purpose? Through sports, students are taught the value of hard work, discipline, team building, sportsmanship, and other values that help develop a participant’s character.
Athletes who genuinely have a love for God, have a conviction to represent Him on the field, have a teachable, humble attitude and have a selfless “team before me” approach.
Coaches who love their athletes and work hard for them in preparation, strategic improvement and college exposure; who respect and speak well of parents and each other, and who represent Christ’s character and humility to opposing coaches, officials and other athletes.
Parents who support and pray for all their coaches, who respect the coaches’ decisions even if they don’t agree, and who are more concerned about an athlete’s character on and off the field than their playing time.
An administration that is organized and enthusiastic about the successes of the team that is properly and fairly enforcing all regulations and guidelines, and is keeping parents informed and involved in a structured and productive manner.
Who can participate? Football and baseball participation is open to all area home school boys who are abiding by Georgia home school laws meet the age and eligibility requirements of each sport, or boys who attend a private school which does not have a football or baseball program. Football and baseball are open to boys age 13 and above, and cheerleading is open to girls age 12 -12th grade.
